The VALUE4HER Women Agripreneur of the Year Awards
WAYA 2022 is currently accepting submissions.
This award seeks to honor African women who are entrepreneurs in the agricultural sector. The call is targeting women that have succeeded in the agricultural value chain and have exhibited extraordinary innovation in their enterprises by impacting food security, climate resilience, women and youth empowerment, among others. WAYA wants to honor veterans and developing female agripreneurs in three broad categories:
- Rising Star – Young Female Agripreneur;
- An Outstanding Value-Adding Enterprise; and
- Female Agriculture Technology Innovator
Each winner will get a USD 20,000 cash reward.
Criteria for applicants:
-Must be involved in the agriculture/agribusiness value chain.
-Provide a novel product or service
-Must be a citizen of one of Africa’s 54 countries
-Have a successful online presence and be a VALUE4HER member
-Be a fantastic community leader proactively elevating women’s voice
The applications should be submitted before or latest by May 31, 2022.
